Thank you for considering Shapell’s/Darche Noam as a beneficiary of your will

You can include a bequest in a new will, or add a simple codicil (amendment) to your current plans. Bequests can be a percentage of your estate, a gift of what remains after providing for loved ones, or a specific amount.
We would suggest the following sample text as a basic template:

USA: “I give, devise and bequeath [insert the sum or description of the property] to American Friends of Darche Noam (Tax Exemption# 11-2694906).”

ISRAEL: “I give, devise and bequeath [insert the sum or description of the property] to Netivot Noam (non-profit# 580007912).”

UK: “I give, devise and bequeath [insert the sum or description of the property] to British Friends of Darche Noam (Charity Commission# 1051086).”

It is important to take into account both the legal requirements of drafting a will, as well as the Torah’s laws of inheritance. We therefore suggest consulting with your lawyer and other relevant professionals when planning your estate and writing your will, as well as your Rabbi for direction in this important matter.
